Submitted by: Sally Brewis - 25th June 2022

The 2022 Rothbury Traditional Music Festival is on Friday 15th – Sunday 17th July with a line up which includes The Damien Mullane trio, Eryn Rae & Scott Turnbull, Cameron Nixon, Ken Wilson, Andy May plus Johnny Handle & Chris Hendry. Did somebody mention bagpipes? Of course there will be marching and piping from Rothbury Highland Pipe Band.

With two ceilidhs, competitions for all ages and plenty of entertainment across the weekend, you can finish off your festival in style with an exclusive opportunity to hear the premiere of new music composed by the Festival’s music director, Ian Stephenson, for OOT on Sunday 17th July at 3pm at All Saints Church.

Featuring Ian Stephenson, Andy May, the Coquet Concert Band and Rothbury Highland Pipe Band, plus All Saints’ fabulous pipe organ, this music is inspired by the rural heritage of Coquetdale and will celebrate folks getting ‘oot n aboot’ again…just like the old days!
